Things are getting awkward behind the scenes of Disney’s Snow White. Co-stars Gal Gadot and Rachel Zegler reportedly don’t get along, and it’s not just because of their huge age gap—apparently, their political differences are making things even more tense.
A source told People on Friday that Gadot, 39, “has nothing in common” with Zegler, 23, pointing out that she’s “a mom of four kids.” Another insider backed that up, saying their “very different political views” are also a big reason why they don’t exactly click.

The Political Divide
Zegler has been openly supporting Palestine throughout the Israel-Hamas war. When the Snow White trailer dropped in August, she hyped up the views on social media before adding, “and always remember, free palestine.”
Meanwhile, Gadot, who was born in Israel and served in the Israeli army, has been a strong supporter of her home country. After the October 7 attacks, she posted on Instagram, “I stand with Israel you should too. The world cannot sit on the fence when these horrific acts of terror are happening!” She also warned about “harmful propaganda” on her Instagram Story, saying, “The goal of propaganda is to dehumanize. It works to dehumanize Israelis and it works to dehumanize Gazans.”
According to Page Six, Disney execs have apparently called Zegler directly—even reaching out to her management—asking her to tone it down. But so far, she’s not listening.
More Drama for Snow White
On top of that, Zegler hasn’t exactly been Disney’s ideal princess. She’s been openly critical of the original Snow White story, saying in a 2022 Variety interview, “There’s a big focus on her love story with a guy who literally stalks her. Weird. So we didn’t do that this time.”
She even admitted, “I was scared of the original version. I think I watched it once and never picked it up again.”
Unsurprisingly, this sparked backlash, with critics calling the new Snow White and its lead actress too “woke”.

Gadot Is Over It
While Zegler has been making headlines, Gadot has reportedly been rolling her eyes at the drama. “She enjoyed filming. She was fine with Rachel,” a source told People. “But they are not friends. They have nothing in common … They did a job together and that’s it.”
Some fans even speculated that Gadot skipped Zegler’s big promotional event in Spain this week because of the tension. But a source shut that down, saying she was just doing press in New York instead. “This isn’t like a ‘stay away from me’ situation,” they clarified.
Disney’s Last-Minute Damage Control
With all this controversy, it looks like Disney is trying to play it safe. Instead of a big, flashy Hollywood premiere, they’re scaling it back—media outlets won’t even be allowed on the red carpet at the El Capitan Theatre this Saturday, according to Variety.
At this point, Snow White isn’t even out yet, and it’s already one of Disney’s most controversial movies.
