Couple Caught Having Sex on a Grave in Florida Cemetery — Man Hospitalized

A couple got more than they bargained for after being caught having sex on top of a gravestone in a historic Florida cemetery. Yep, you read that right.

Joseph Brown, 38, and Stephanie Wegman, 46, were spotted in the act at Wild Cow Prairie Cemetery in Bushnell — a graveyard dating back to 1850 — and were promptly arrested. According to police, the pair were getting it on over “unknown grave #43” when they were busted.

It all started when a cop noticed a white Nissan (registered to Wegman and her husband, Anthony Johnson) parked outside the locked cemetery gates with the windows down and no one around. Naturally, they decided to check it out.

That’s when they found the duo mid-romp. The incident went down around 4:15 p.m. on March 27, after the officer had pulled in to let their K9 partner take a break.

But it didn’t stop at public indecency. When police searched the car, they found meth on the passenger seat. Wegman’s purse had two prescription bottles with no labels, one containing Xanax and the other Oxycodone.

Wegman was arrested on a handful of drug charges and is now sitting in county jail without bond. Brown, meanwhile, was taken to a local hospital due to what cops called a “pre-existing injury” to his leg. “A warrant will be sought for Mr. Brown,” the report said, though it didn’t specify exactly what charges are coming his way.

This wasn’t Wegman’s first run-in with the law. She was arrested last September for meth, weed, and fentanyl possession, and just last month for having drug paraphernalia.

Brown’s rap sheet is even longer. He’s got convictions for burglary, grand larceny, domestic violence, meth possession, reckless driving, DUI, and more. A judge even called him a “habitual felony offender” back in 2019. He’s done several prison stints and was last released in May 2024. These days, he’s reportedly living in a mobile home his parents bought him.

The cemetery itself is pretty historic — with both marked and unmarked graves dating back to the mid-1800s. The last burial happened in 1924, and it made it onto the National Register of Historic Places in 2021.

Not exactly the place you’d expect a sex scandal, but here we are.
