Everton Fan’s Hilarious Plot to Troll Liverpool’s Premier League Title Party

An Everton supporter’s sneaky plan to prank Liverpool fans during their Premier League title celebrations has gone viral. Here’s how blue flares could turn the victory parade into a cheeky bit of mischief.

An Everton fan is trying to throw a serious spanner in the works of Liverpool’s potential Premier League title celebrations — and honestly, it’s as cheeky as it is clever.

Arne Slot’s Liverpool only need three more points to clinch the title, with a commanding 13-point lead at the top of the table. They’ll secure the crown if Arsenal lose to Crystal Palace on Wednesday, April 23, or if the Reds beat Spurs at Anfield on Sunday, April 27.

If and when they do win it, the celebrations on Merseyside are expected to be massive. Liverpool fans are gearing up for a huge party, especially on the final day of the season against Crystal Palace on May 25, followed by a potential victory parade on Monday, May 26, with up to a million people expected to hit the streets.

But not everyone’s in the mood to celebrate. In classic rivalry fashion, some Everton fans are plotting ways to ruin the fun — and one fan’s plan is going viral.

Everton Fan's Hilarious Plot to Troll Liverpool

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), a Toffees supporter shared how his mate has been prepping for weeks to pull off a flare-filled prank. He posted photos of boxes full of red-labelled flares — except they’re actually blue.

He wrote:

“My mate’s just texted me there. He bought 10,000 blue flares and spent the last 4 weeks taking the blue labels off them and putting red labels on them. I hope he sells the f****** lot.”

Evertonians on X were loving it.

One fan replied, “This is the level of bitterness I can get behind.”
Another said, “Legends walk amongst us.”
Someone else chimed in with, “God’s work.”
And of course, “That is absolutely brilliant!” made the rounds, along with, “I rate the pettiness of it tbf.”

Even Arsenal fans — who are more or less out of the title race — couldn’t help but admire the audacity. One wrote:

“Now that would be the GOAT of all s** housery if you can pull that off. Not sure it’s true though.”*

Naturally, Liverpool fans weren’t amused. One shot back, “Liverpool celebrate titles whilst Everton celebrate a blue coloured flare. Levels.”

Another added, “Everton fans’ lives genuinely evolve around Liverpool Football Club. Their lives would not be worth living if Liverpool didn’t exist. Very weird.”

And one more delivered this jab:

“Wow, what a hero. A true Entrepreneur! Classic Everton behaviour — can’t win the league, so they start a little arts & crafts project to feel involved.”

Oh, and someone else dropped the mic with: “The last time Everton won anything, people wore blue flares.”

Everton are sitting 13th in the table after David Moyes took over from Sean Dyche in January. Moyes helped steady the ship with a nine-game unbeaten run, which included a 2-2 draw against Liverpool at Goodison — though they later lost 1-0 at Anfield.

Whether or not the flare prank actually works, one thing’s for sure — the Merseyside rivalry is alive and petty as ever.
