Taco Bell Just Let Fans Design Their Own Menu Items — And They Could Go Nationwide

-

- Advertisment -

Taco Bell’s new “Fan Style” feature lets users create and share custom menu items in its app. Some creations might even hit real menus in 2025. Here’s how it works.

You Can Now Design Your Own Taco Bell Menu Item — And Get Rewarded for It

If you’ve ever Frankenstein-ed a weirdly delicious Taco Bell order and thought, “Dang, the world needs to try this,” your moment has arrived.

Taco Bell just launched a brand-new feature called “Fan Style” in its app, letting you create your own custom menu items, give them a flashy name, and share them like the foodie mad scientist you are.

And the best part? If people order your masterpiece, you earn points — equal to the full order’s value.

Yes, Taco Bell is basically turning its app into a spicy social network for menu hackers.

How Fan Style Works: The Quick Breakdown 🌮

  • 📱 Available now in the Taco Bell app (launched July 22)
  • 🏅 Must be a Taco Bell Rewards member (but it’s free to join)
  • 🧪 Mix and match ingredients to build your own item
  • 🖋️ Give it a name — make it dramatic, funny, or just delicious-sounding
  • 🔗 Share your creation with a unique link
  • 💸 When others order it, you earn points based on the value

🔥 Bonus: The most popular fan-made items could get a limited-time run on actual Taco Bell menus nationwide in 2025. That’s right — your burrito remix could hit billboard status.

Your Nacho Hack Might End Up on a Billboard

Speaking of billboards — Taco Bell is going big on the promo.

On July 29, from 2–5 p.m. PT, the chain is running a one-day ad blitz featuring select fan-made creations on billboards, in movie theaters, and other IRL spots. This isn’t just about tacos; it’s about tacos with clout.

Why Taco Bell Is Doing This

According to the brand, over half of its mobile orders already include customizations. So this new Fan Style feature is basically formalizing what fans already love doing — and throwing in rewards to make it even spicier.

It’s also a clever way to fuel viral marketing without the brand having to do all the work. Create your own nacho-stuffed quesadilla monstrosity, name it “The Taco Titan,” and suddenly your friends are sharing it on TikTok.

Oh, and There’s BBQ Sauce Now Too

Fan Style isn’t the only thing heating up Taco Bell’s menu. The brand also just dropped a new BBQ sauce, paired with crispy chicken and a loaded BBQ Nacho Fry. So yes, summer 2025 is looking real saucy.

Quick SUmmary

  • Taco Bell launched Fan Style, a new app feature that lets users create, name, and share custom menu items
  • No purchase needed — just a free rewards account
  • Get points every time someone buys your creation
  • Top fan items might hit real menus across the US in 2025
  • July 29 features select fan items on billboards and theaters as part of a one-day promo
  • Oh, and yeah — BBQ sauce is finally here

If you ever needed a reason to turn your late-night taco experiments into something legendary, this is it. Just maybe don’t name it “Beefy McBeefFace” unless you’re ready to go viral.
